The Committee are very concerned about the posting of videos and/or photographs taken on FFFC water on social media platforms. We are fully aware that posting items on social media is now part of everyday life. Some of us use social media as individuals and we also avail ourselves of it as a club.

WRT: Pesticide Training Course:
The WRT are looking to put a few people through a pesticide training course to learn to spay non-native invasive species safely. I understand this is a 3 day course followed by an assessment for the City and Guilds Certificate.

We are aware of some large porojects that need undertaking on the Frankland Beat of the River Wear; for example some large trees have come down and need removing. These are in hand and work parties may be needed to help. If you would like to help please let the secreatry know. In the meantime any member fishing the Frankland beat should feel free to cut down vegitation on this stretch.

Some of you may have noticed that we are having issues with our Website. Yesterday, for instance, a number of members could not access the Forum. The reason for this is that the website is very old and much of the software used to create it is no longer supported.
