We were pleased to reach agreement with the Ford and Etal Estates Department in 2010 and have added for our members the Ford Beat on this river, just over one mile of fishing from both banks. Again we are able to advise that the parking is right next to the river.
Whilst we do have our own bailiffs we do advise that the Estate have their own River Watchers who will escort you from the water for failure to display your car badge and/or produce your membership card when requested.
Although this beat did not initially prove as popular as our Fenton beat in 2010 or 2011 we were pleased to see more members fishing, and being successful, in subsequent seasons. Members are also able to fish for brown trout and grayling on this stretch.
