Things have slowed down but

Thanks for your returns

The rains in May and June helped the rivers and brought in the fish, mainly sea trout, to the delight of members. Thanks to the members for submitting their interim catch returns for the Tweed and Till beats. Details of the catches have now been sent to the respective owners as we are required to do and its good news on previous years. Into double figures for salmon and over 50 sea trout landed so well done one and all. The rivers are pretty low at present but that should change from tomorrow with fairly heavy rain due, showers on Wednesday and more heavy rain on Thursday. Hopefully this will produce some productive fishing for the weekend. The rivers show there are plenty of fish around, but again mainly sea trout. Top beat to date is Fenton, please remember to close the gate, and the Start is Second to that. The Start is a low water beat and so under fished but members now seem to understand we are trying to put you onto the best possible fishing for the conditions.
