River FishingThe latest fish count figures for July for the river Tees have been added to the fish count page.

All rivers are in fine fishing order following the heavy rain at the beginning of last week and got fish moving into our beats. This has resulted in success for members with two notable fish being caught over the last few days. One member has caught a superb 12.5lb sea trout on fly amongst a bag of three fish. One other fish to note was a fresh run 27.5lb salmon caught on a small flying C. There is more rain forecast for tomorrow and hopefully it will encourage more fish to take the rivers and continue to give members some excellent fishing.

Rothley Lake

Thanks to head bailiff Dave Cave and member Ken Swaddle for their efforts in weed clearing on the lake. Our thanks also go to the 7 members that assisted in the latest stocking of the lake.

Start Fishing

The current warm weather appears to be having an effect on members success catching those elusive salmon. That is unless you have been fishing the above beat. Members have had success over the last week as the river is in prime condfition for this section of the Tweed. Members wishing to fish this beat are reminded that it has to be pre-booked through Dave Charlton through the details in your handbook.
