We have heard today that one of our founder members, Jim Corrigan, has died following a long illness at the age of 87. Jim Corrigan was one of the first members of the club and always had a lot to say in how the club should move forward from its infancy. He loved his trout fishing on the rivers and was always fishing Tumbleton Lake at Cragside along with ex fellow member Joe Makepeace who called and advised me of the sad news. Jim often stated that he must be the most photographed angler in Britain due to the number of people that photographed him and Joe at Cragside. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

We have been advised that the funeral of Jim will take place this Wednesday at 10.30am at Gateshead crematorium.
